Standing Together in Prayer – Seeking God’s Face

Every Monday evening, the IES family gathers to seek the face of God in corporate prayer. In a community of medical students, doctors, and healthcare professionals, prayer is not an optional extra — it is our lifeline. Monday Prayer Meeting is where we lay down our burdens, intercede for one another, and invite the Holy Spirit to move in our midst.

This is a time of focused, Spirit-led prayer. We pray for healing, for wisdom in our studies and work, for the patients and families we serve, for our campus, and for the nations. If you are carrying a burden, come and let us carry it together before the throne of grace.

What Happens in Our Prayer Meeting

• Worship & Invocation We begin by inviting the presence of God through song and scripture, setting our hearts in a posture of humility and expectation.
• Guided Intercession We pray through specific themes each week — healing and wholeness, campus revival, global missions, and personal breakthroughs.
• Prayer Cells & Small Groups We break into smaller groups so that every voice is heard and every need is lifted up.
• Testimonies & Praise We celebrate answered prayers and give glory to God for His faithfulness.

Why Prayer Matters at IES

As a community serving in one of the busiest medical institutions in Tanzania, we face pressures that can only be navigated through prayer. Monday Prayer Meeting is where we remind ourselves that we do not serve alone — we serve a God who hears, who answers, and who goes before us.
